Dr Severns is a board certified dermatologist with a connection to Fort Smith since he moved to Arkansas to open a dermatology clinic with Sparks Medical Foundation in 1999. He and Dr. Stites were partners until 2017 when Dr Severns retired from full time practice to travel and spend more time with his family. During this time he has practiced part-time as a locum tenens filling in at clinics in Indiana, Missouri, Alaska and Arkansas. He enjoys all aspects of dermatology care.
His interests outside of dermatology include history, travel, foreign language and culture as well as hiking and tennis. Upon retirement from full-time practice in 2017, he moved to Northwest Arkansas to be closer to children and grandchildren. He is on the leadership team of Adventure Christian Church in Bentonville.
